Converting existing or new vehicles and machines to alternative drives. Battery-electric and hybrid systems we convert ourselves for OEMs and fleet operators – from the first concept to a ready-to-work machine. For hydrogen, we support the OEM in an advisory role, since a hydrogen conversion usually reaches deep into the chassis.
A wide range of project phases – from prototypes and field-test vehicles to small series or the modernisation of existing machines. Together we develop a solution that fits your application, your schedule and your technical requirements. The prototype is a one-off; for series work there's a minimum quantity (see below).
Battery-electric and hybrid systems we convert ourselves – depending on the duty profile and requirements. For hydrogen, we advise you on the right solution in a technology-neutral way – based on the DEUTZ TCG 7.6 H2, our hydrogen engine – and support the OEM with the implementation, which usually sits with the manufacturer because of the chassis modifications involved. Every converted machine is thoroughly tested and validated. Depending on the scope, that includes test-bench trials, EMC tests, vehicle field testing, and the parameterisation and optimisation of the overall system. So your application runs reliably in real-world use and reaches the performance you want.
Yes. Depending on the project and application, we accompany certification-relevant processes – from technical documentation to preparing the necessary tests and validations.
We always start with a prototype – a one-off, by definition. The question of series only comes up after that.
Every application needs its own design, integration and validation. That effort happens once, whether one vehicle is converted afterwards or fifty. So for series work we start at around 20 vehicles a year.
