- 30 new recruits embark on their apprenticeships at three sites

Cologne, September 2, 2022 – DEUTZ has welcomed a new intake of apprentices, with three young women and 27 young men embarking on apprenticeships in eight vocations at the engine manufacturer’s sites in Cologne, Herschbach, and Ulm. The apprentices in Herschbach started on August 15, while those in Cologne and Ulm started on September 1.
Dr. Sebastian C. Schulte, Chairman of the Board of Management of DEUTZ AG, greeted the new apprentices during the Welcome Days: “I wish all of our apprentices every success and a great start to their working lives. More than 160 years of proud history at DEUTZ would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of our employees. Which is why I am all the more delighted that so many young people have chosen to continue this tradition and to embark on an apprenticeship at DEUTZ.”
As in previous years, the DEUTZ apprentices in their second year organized the Welcome Days in Cologne. The new apprentices were provided with key information about their new employer during the Welcome Days and had the opportunity for some initial networking.
In addition to the company’s own apprentices, the Factory for Talents training center at the DEUTZ headquarters in Cologne will offer a further 16 apprentices career prospects via a modular or full apprenticeship in cooperation with its partners.
DEUTZ has a long tradition of providing its own vocational training, with the company starting to offer apprenticeships over 103 years ago. Every year, the application process starts after the summer holidays. Anyone interested can already apply for the 2023 apprenticeships.
