Award-winning: DEUTZ apprentices score highly in final exams

  • Amelie Fanelsa achieves one of the best results in North Rhine-Westphalia
  • Five DEUTZ apprentices among the local and regional award winners

Cologne, November 25, 2022 – The exceptional exam results of DEUTZ apprentices have been honored for the twelfth consecutive year. The Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Wuppertal, Remscheid, and Solingen (IHK) named Amelie Fanelsa as one of North Rhine-Westphalia’s best apprentices in the production mechanic examination.

“Yet again, our DEUTZ apprentices have passed their final exams with above-average grades this year. I would like to congratulate them on this outstanding achievement. We are immensely proud of our talented young colleagues at DEUTZ. Their achievements reflect the high quality of our apprenticeships,” says Dr. Sebastian C. Schulte, CEO of DEUTZ AG.

In addition to Amelie Fanelsa’s award, the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce had already presented awards on October 27 to four other DEUTZ apprentices whose results were among the best in the city of Cologne. The five apprentices include four production mechanics and an industrial electronics technician. The DEUTZ Factory for Talents’ Wall of Fame, where the award certificates for outstanding achievement received by DEUTZ apprentices are displayed, is rapidly filling up. Since 2011, the engine manufacturer’s trainees have received 41 local awards, 18 regional awards, and four awards at national level. DEUTZ has a long tradition of providing its own vocational training, having started to offer apprenticeships more than 100 years ago.

Anyone interested can already apply for the 2023 apprenticeships, which start next September. To learn more about the application process and the twelve areas of vocational training on offer at DEUTZ, visit https://www.deutz.com/en/career/school-leavers.
