EU Commission approves Bosch, DEUTZ, and Eberspächer joint venture

  • Operational start of the “Bosch Emission Systems” joint venture
  • Complete diesel exhaust-gas aftertreatment systems for non-road machinery and on-road commercial vehicles – on the basis of a modular system
  • Systems solutions satisfy future emission regulations

Bosch Emission Systems GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture among Robert Bosch GmbH, DEUTZ AG, and Eberspächer GmbH & Co. KG, started operations on April 7, 2010. As early as December 9, 2009, the companies had announced their intention of  cooperating to reduce exhaust emissions in construction machinery and agricultural vehicles. The approval of the EU Commission, which was still outstanding, has now been granted.

Based in Stuttgart, Bosch Emission Systems will utilize the core exhaust-gas aftertreatment competencies of the three companies involved, and, on the basis of a modular system, will offer complete systems solutions for construction and agricultural machinery as well as commercial vehicles. These complete systems include electronic control and, if required, also optimized burner technology for the regeneration of diesel particulate filters. The portfolio is tailored to mobile and stationary machinery. Commercial vehicles such as trucks and buses are a further area of use. Series production is planned for the third quarter of this year in Neunkirchen/ Germany.
