The engines from Deutz, one of the inner suburbs of
Cologne, have made this place world-famous. Up to today engines are
assembled and components are produced here in a state-of-the-art
fashion. Crank cases, crank shafts, cam shafts and pipes are delivered
from here to the assembly lines of the DEUTZ compact engines ? from a
location that is full of tradition with the first works opened on this
very spot in 1869.
